Experiment with natural dyeing: The many shades of Logwood

The Many Shades of Logwood Class

During this 2-hour experience with Jo Ann Manzone, students will learn about dyeing with Logwood.  Logwood is a natural dye with very strong dyeing power.  When mixed with other natural dyes and mordants, you can achieve a variety of shades of purple to gray.  We will be dyeing small samples of cottons and silks to produce a variety of shades.
