Fiber Arts Collective

Martin Luther King Day

Hello Friends,

I hope you are bursting with creative energy as the New Year unfolds!

What a joy it is that the first holiday of the year celebrates themes of unity, justice, and equity, and that it focuses on service to humanity. In honor of Martin Luther King Day, the Fiber Arts Collective is offering the greeting cards pictured above as a fundraiser to benefit the Phoenix-Talent School District Fire Relief Fund. You will find the cards for sale at our front counter starting this week–we’re open Wed-Sat, 10-3. Learn more about the Phoenix-Talent Fire Relief Fund here: https://www.phoenix.k12.or.us/site/Default.aspx?PageID=2631

On Martin Luther King Day, at 11:00 a.m., Natalie Castañeda of The Clothing Coop will join me in a Facebook live conversation about widening our reach at The Fiber Arts Collective.  You can chime in @FiberArtsAshland.

Registration for the Mending Sampler Needle Book class with Jody Alexander continues. If you did not receive the invitation to join the class, please respond to this email and I’ll send information to you pronto. Registering for this class would be a wonderful Valentine’s Day Y gift to yourself or a friend. Early-bird pricing of $95 lasts until January 22nd and increases to $115 after that.

I wish you all a happy and healthy New Year, and I look forward to a year of channeling our collective creativity towards the betterment of the world.
